Best Warhammer Survivors Evolutions Before Launch

There is no tested best evolution yet. No damage ranking is published here. The only pairing a preview has played through is Tempest Axes plus Sabaton. A launch-week order needs clears that do not exist before 10 November 2026.

🚧 Demo-era build: Warhammer Survivors launches November 10, 2026. A demo is playable now on Steam and Xbox PC — pages are seeded from demo-era sources and completed at launch.

Why this page will not name a winner

Pages titled “best evolutions” usually sort weapons by damage. The numbers that would support that sort are either absent or sitting in a demo-file datamine. CapyDB prints damage, area and cooldown from those files. This site does not copy them, and it does not turn them into a tier. A datamined stat is not a clear we have timed, and the full game’s 75+ weapons are not the October demo’s eleven reported evolutions. Ranking the demo slice as if it were the launch arsenal would be a guess.

Preview writers did not publish a weapon order either. PC Gamer, after about ten hours, praised heroes, maps, followers and bosses and called the early difficulty harsh. IGN praised the two settings and criticised slow openings and unclear evolution requirements. G2A News liked progression and companion weapons and disliked rescue objectives. None of those pieces names a best evolution.

What you can plan around, without a rank

These are qualitative descriptions from developer posts and one preview. They are not a power order. “Listed first” means “described in public,” not “strongest.”

The other reported results — Eviscerator Chainsword, Meltagun, Ripper Pistol, Mordant Earth, Typhoon Crossbow, Master of Runes, Aquatic Illusions — have a community or datamine pairing and no developer damage note we will stretch into a recommendation. Ripper Pistol is officially an unlock for the Legend of Catachan; a community reply says the evolution grants it as a bonus poisoned pistol instead of replacing Frag Grenades. That reply is one player, not a tier argument.

A useful check before launch, not a build

If you are in the October demo, the pairing a journalist has already finished is Tempest Axes and Sabaton. It teaches the shape of the system. It does not prove Whirlwind Axes will be the strongest weapon on 10 November. Followers from the squad system add bodies to a run; they are also not a damage ranking.

After launch, a best-evolutions page can name weapons only from timed clears. Until then the honest list is the evolution list, split into “effect described” and “pairing only.”

No S-tier, no DPS, no patch-note fiction. If a guide elsewhere sorts these by a number, that number is not from Auroch Digital.

The other evolution pages

Run habits sit on the guide. This page does not replace it.
